If you
are hurting, feeling upset
or anxious, and generally do not
like the direction your life has
taken, then counseling may bring
relief, comfort and guidance. Taking
the plunge and making a first appointment
is the hardest part. Once
you begin the counseling process
it is important to make sure you
feel comfortable, understood and
at ease with your therapist.
I
provide a safe and accepting environment
where you can talk about anything that
is troubling you. My working
style is practical, positive and respectful
of differences in values and beliefs.
I believe in the connection between
body, mind and emotions. Some
of the treatment methods I use include
psychodynamic, humanistic, existential
and cognitive- behavioral modalities,
breath work and hypnotherapy.
Counseling
can be brief or long term. It
can also be used as a support during
a transition (re-locating, divorce,
new job, new baby, new relationship)
or for personal growth. Artists,
writers and musicians may benefit from
counseling with regard to creativity
blocks and stage fright.
Each individual
brings strengths into therapy and I
look for these and include them in
the counseling process.
No matter what may bring you to therapy,
I am committed to helping you with your
concerns.
