Sometimes transitions such as moving, getting a divorce, having a baby, getting married or starting a new job, can be stressful. Perhaps your usual support system is not available or you simply would rather speak with someone who will keep your concerns completely confidential. Counseling can be very helpful during transitions and it is usually brief in duration.

Self-awareness is empowering because the more you know yourself, the more likely you are to make choices that are best for you. Being self-actualized means living to your fullest potential in a realistic way. Often people are told they can be successful in anything they want and this can be a set up for failure. Rather it is important to know your true strengths and also your limitations in order to enjoy good self esteem.
